We are the Developers of the state of the art AQUARIUS IMAGING SUITE of Products, which is distributed around the world through Aquarius Authorized Resellers.
CURRENT BUSINESS SCENARIO
Document Control Systems, Inc. is a firm specializing on business products and services revolving around the document management and mailhandling industries. DCS has been doing business since 1983, it is wholly owned by its founder and current president, Mr. Carlos Rios.
Mr. Rios is also sole proprietary of Document Control Systems Processing, Inc., who handles all the Service Bureau side of our business, and he is the majority stock-holder of Document Control Systems Software and Document Control Systems Dominicana. DCS currently employs more than 70 people.
DCS is a distributor of more than 10 different U.S. manufacturers leaders in the document management and mailhandling industries, including exclusive distribution of products from Minolta, Bell & Howell-MPS, Neopost and Ascom, these are all Fortune 1000 corporations.
DCS currently has more than 500 direct customers, with 200+ installations of systems on industries ranging from financial institutions, federal and state government, education, pharmaceuticals, distribution and commercial corporations. Some of the names include corporations and/or institutions like Merck, Walgreens, Texaco, GOYA, Bacardi, Shell, The Puerto Rico Treasury Department, the Federal Bankruptcy Court, the University of Puerto Rico, etc.
In 1996 DCS began the development of its own Imaging Software Suite of Products, this investment resulted in 9 different products that started to be offered directly by DCS to corporations in Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic since the fourth quarter of 1998. Currently, there are more than 40 installations of these products.
In the first quarter of 1999, and in conjunction with the Treasury Department, DCS started the development of a system that will revolutionize the way entities and individuals will purchase Internal Revenue Stamps in Puerto Rico, currently these stamps have to be purchased at more than 100 government offices, the system developed, called CESE, will allow printing of such stamps electronically at any remote site. This system was finished and approved by the Treasury Department on december 1st. 1999 and we expect to have more than 500 installations just in the first year of its launching.

The availability and success of our Imaging Suite of Products has made our corporation to re-focused from a regional marketing effort to a global market approach.
According to AIIM (Association for Information and Image Management), document imaging is one of the industries, following the Internet, with one of the most healthy and strong growths among technological industries. To leverage from the market opportunities and the possibilities for our future, we have completed a substantial re-structuring in 1999 to position ourselves to market our Imaging Products worldwide.
In 2000, we have started an aggressive campaign to "recruit" corporations to distribute our Imaging Systems. These efforts include intensive prospecting efforts through the United States, Latin America and Europe.
We think that our expertise of more than 15 years in the business of distributing document management solutions is reflected in the development of our products and provides our partners with one of the best feature-benefit/price ratios in the market today.
